Handmade Prayer Bead Bracelet for Intention Setting and Gratitude.
I made this meditation prayer bracelet with amethyst beads and green fluorite stones. There are sterling beads separating the quadrants. Below this hangs a handmade tassel and a handmade glass bead.
The 5mm beads are strung on a high-strength jewelry wire and are very secure.
Amethyst is a stone from the quartz family with a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale.
Fluorite works to purify the aura and energy field.
Sterling Silver is the metal of emotions, of the psychic mind, and of loving as well as healing. It is used to bring patience and perseverance to the wearer. As the metal is reflective, as the moon reflects the light of the sun, so does silver reflect negativity from the wearer.
HOW TO USE:
This isn’t to be worn, but held in your hands, passing the beads through your fingers as you pray or meditate. This lovely piece drapes over your wrist and the focal bead lays in your palm.
The bracelet measures approximately 10 inches around and about 8.5 inches long (to end of silver tassel–see photo).
Prayer beads can help you in many ways with your meditation. Drape them around your wrist, or simply hold them in your hand. Use your prayer bracelet to count you blessings, to reflect on areas where you feel gratitude in your life.
~The repetitive movement of your fingers across the beads can help ground you.
~Touching each bead as you say a mantra can help you keep track of how many times you’ve repeated the mantra.
~ Hold your prayer beads with one hand. Let it drape across your fingers so you can move it easily.
~ Move your fingers to the next bead, breathing in and out once per bead.
~ Finish at the last bead in the circle or continue.
HOW IT ALL STARTED:
I started making these prayer beads for myself and then my sister discovered what I was making and ordered them for her friends. I love making these and settle into Reiki energy as I work to choose the stones and silver and additional pieces that call to me.
Testimonials:
Beautiful healing bracelet –
I received an incredibly beautiful healing bracelet as a gift from my amazing friend. The beads were selected for their spiritual and healing properties and are perfectly suited for exactly where I am in my life journey. The bracelet itself is not a piece of jewelry that you would wear – more like something you would hold in your hand as you are mediating or even getting through a difficult conversation. It’s perfectly weighted, soothing to touch and very well-made. Truly one of the most thoughtful gifts I have ever received.

I love mine! I carry it in my purse in a pouch to keep it safe. I take it out to use. I love the feel of it.
~Cora J
I keep them on my desk at work to help keep me grounded during tax season and often hold them while talking with clients on the phone. I keep them by my bed and often count my gratitudes before I fall to sleep and when I wake up.

NUMBERS SIGNIFICANCE: might be applied to the various numbers in the prayer beads.
Most of mine offer 4 groups of 7 beads.
3 beads– Holy Trinity
4 beads
- 4 elements–earth, wind, fire, water
- 4 cardinal directions–east, west, north, south
- In terms of symbolism, the number 4 is associated with self-expression and self-fulfillment. The number 4 is also a representation of maturity and stability of mind. If one year has its four seasons, then so does your life have a deeper feeling of meaning and purpose when the number 4 appears in your life.
- In Pythagorean numerology (a pseudoscience) the number 4 represents security and stability. The number of characters in a canonical four-character idiom.
- 4 times for prayer in the Anglican prayer book (morning, noonday, evening, and compline)
- The number of seasons of the solar year–winter, spring, summer, fall)
The number 4 is the number of “being,” it is the number that connects mind-body-spirit with the physical world of structure and organization.
Four symbolizes the safety and security of home, the need for stability and strength on a solid foundation of values and beliefs.
The spiritual nature of number four calls in the need for having or creating a sacred space and sanctuary in your home, a place to meditate and build your innermost foundation of strength and being.
The symbolic meaning of the number four deals with stability and invokes the grounded nature of all things.
Consider the four seasons, four directions, four elements, all these amazingly powerful essences wrapped up in the nice square package of Four. Fours represent solidity, calmness, and home.
7 is the number of perfections in the Judeo-Christian tradition and most closely associated with God.
- Bible: Genesis, on the 7th day God rested
- Number of seasons in the church calendar
- 7 Days in the week
33 beads– the number of years Jesus lived among us.
